Nathanael Johnson
Nathanael Johnson is a director, actor, and educator. He has directed for the Texas Shakespeare Festival, Zeitgeist International Festival, Frontera Fringe Festival, Hollywood Fringe Festival, and the Dramatist's Lab. As an actor, he has appeared on the television shows The O.C., Veronica Mars, Numb3rs, and Medium and has likewise performed at regional theatres across the nation - most notably the Yale Repertory Theatre, Marin Theatre Company, and South Coast Repertory. As an educator, he currently serves as associate professor of practice in directing and acting at Northern Arizona University. He received his M.F.A. from the Yale School of Drama and his B.F.A. from the University of Evansville. He is a member of the National Alliance of Acting Teachers, Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC), and Screen Actors Guild (SAG-AFTRA).

As an actor, I am driven by the profound human need for connection and understanding. I seek to embody characters with authenticity and vulnerability, exploring the nuances of their inner lives and the complexities of their relationships. Through the transformative power of performance, I aim to create a space where audiences can empathize with diverse experiences, fostering a deeper understanding of themselves and the world around them. My process is rooted in rigorous preparation, active listening, and a commitment to inhabiting the truth of each moment, allowing the story to unfold organically through me.
