As the world seems to be unraveling around us in ever increasing chaos it is nice to find refuge in images of places, cultures, and people, some fading into forgotten memory. David Irvine found his passion for photography rise out of his childhood where East met West, the ancient was ever present in the shadow of modernization and progress. His roots are in the ancient civilizations and cultures of the Middle East and in the enchanted American Southwest.
He enjoys the wide open spaces of the American West with all its legendary past and living history, landscapes filled with canyon lands, red rocks, cowboys, ranches and Native Americans. These have become as dear to him as the ancient worlds along the silk road.
