The new exhibition showing in the Project Gallery at Coconino Center for the Arts is titled Moments of Peace. The exhibition creates a harmonious and tranquil experience for the viewer to inhabit. The show’s unique approach takes painting, sculpture, murals and performance to capture the simplicity of fully experiencing a moment, free of thought.

Moments of Peace features paintings from emerging Flagstaff artists Kayley Quick, Amorell Demmert, Kory Miller and sculpture from McKenzie Dankert. Each artist takes a unique approach to capturing their understanding of peace through acrylic paint or sculpture. The scenery of the Jewel Gallery will showcase complimentary murals alongside the paintings. The beautiful and strong performers of Flagstaff Aerial Arts will also be showcased in an aerial performance that compliments the work featured at the opening reception.

The exhibition opens alongside A New Latitude, with an opening reception scheduled for Thursday, June 9, 2016. Moments of Peace will be open June 11 – August 6, 2016.
