In 2020, artist Jayne Lee found herself locked down in her UK childhood home. She began filming herself dancing in the garden each day and captured places she could walk to, along with ones that represented the feeling of being in quarantine. The result, edited by Amanda Kapp, is Hiraeth.

HIRAETH is a welsh noun which means: a spiritual longing for a home that perhaps never was. Nostalgia for ancient places to which we cannot return. It is the echo of the lost places of our soul’s past and a grief for them. It is in the wind, the trees, the clouds, the rocks and the waves. It is nowhere; it is everywhere.
