Jayne Lee Performance Monsoon

Born in Wales, Jayne trained in London at The Place, and at The Juilliard School in NYC, and has danced and choreographed for London Contemporary Dance Theatre for 10 years. Jayne moved to Flagstaff to become a Grand Canyon River Guide and still guides river trips in the summers. Monsoon is a solo performance piece created after a particularly impressive monsoon season in Grand Canyon. The piece is directly inspired by an event in which there were waterfalls pouring off the steep Muav walls and the river and side streams swelled massively in volume and turned a thick, dark red brown. Thunder cracked and echoed through the canyon, we humans felt small and insignificant.
