Angela Yamauchi is a Flagstaff-based artist who works primarily in photography but also enjoys painting and drawing. She has a formal education and background in science and engineering, with additional study in visual arts, reflecting her long-standing interest in the convergence of art and science. Her photography work includes a variety of local nature and landscape subjects, but she is best known for night sky photography. She has participated in exhibitions in Arizona and California, and her work is also available locally at Lowell Observatory. Angela Yamauchi’s exhibition coincides with NightVisions: AMBER at Coconino Center for the Arts in partnership with Flagstaff Dark Skies Coalition, through September 26.
